The 11th session of International Mathematic Contest (IMC) has successfully completed. [ ]
2015 marks IMC International Mathematic Contest 11th year in its founding, with the addition of country representatives from Vietnam and Myanmar. With the new addition, the participating countries has increased from eleven to thirteen countries, with total number of contestants increasing from 1161 last year to 1320 this year. After more than ten years of running the contest, IMC International Mathematics Contest has become one of the largest and most influential platform for students to exchange their views on Math studyin Asia-Pacific region. The certification awarded by IMC has also been recognized by many universities and secondary schools in North America, Europe, etc, which adds credential to the enrollment of these students from Asia Pacific.
This year, IMC International Mathematics Contest had awarded 128 gold, 218 silver, 452 bronze, which shown a raise in the standard of the participating students, especially for Vietnam, though their first year participating,they have won six gold medals, and overall champion for Junior One, which demonstrated a high level of competitiveness! The other overall level champion goes to Thailand, Hong Kong, Taiwan, China and South Korea. Herewith, we would like to extend a warm welcome to the Vietnam and Myanmar team for making their debut in this competition and congratulate them for their outstanding achievements this year!
In 2ndAugust 2015, about 2000 attendees, including participating students, teachers, parents and guests gathered in the 2015IMC Award Ceremony. In the ceremony, the VIPspresented passionate speeches, affirming the students of their outstanding achievements, and encouraging them to work harder for greater progress! Besides the award presentation, the students from different countries also put up various ethnic dance and singing program, bringing the ceremony into new heights!
Through this contest, the participating students from the Asia-Pacific countries were given the opportunity to enhance the mutual understanding of their friendship, and widen their vision and knowledge! Let us meet in 2016!

The 10th session of International Mathematic Contest (IMC) has successfully completed. [ ]
2014 IMC International Mathematic Contest has been successfully held in Singapore from August 2nd to the 3rd. 1161students from China mainland, Hong kong, Taiwan, the Philippines, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, South Korea, Thailand, and Iran participated in this event.
IMC Contest contains 9 grades of students from elementary level (G3-G6), junior high level (G7-G9) and senior high level (G10-G11). During the contest, 116 gold medals, 229 silver medals, and 359 bronze medals were yield. All contestants from participating countries and regions performed a high level competition. Moreover, grand champion is set up in elementary level (G3-G6) and junior high level (G7-G9), among which, the grand champion of elementary level grade 3 and junior level grade 9 were won by Hongkong team; the grand champion of elementary level grade 4 and grade 6 were won by Iran team; the grand champion of elementary level grade 5 was won by Thailand team, the grand champion of junior high level grade 9 and grade 10 were won by Taiwan team.
The year 2014 is also the 10th anniversary year for IMC International Mathematic Contest. All contestants from participating countries and regions were invited to participate the IMC 10 years anniversary celebration held in Resorts World Sentosa Singapore. The president of IMC Union Council, Mr. Lu Xiao Chen delivered a warm and passionate speech, excellent performances with attractive ethnic dances and instrumental ensemble shows were presented by students from different countries and regions. As to highlight the cultural connotation of IMC, 1500 elegant anniversary badges were given to all contestants and teachers presented, meanwhile 11 mascot badges and T-shirt presenting 11 participating countries and regions were promoted, which was a big hit to all contestants. After the completion of 10 years anniversary celebration, the honorable guests including the ambassador from the Philippines to Singapore, the director of Taiwan News Department stationed in Singapore awarded the medals and certificates to all students from the participating countries and regions.
During free time in the contesting season, students also went on tours, visits and fun activities, which help the students while competing and presenting their mathematics ability to gain much knowledge, enlarge the vision and build up friendship.

The Ninth International Mathematics Contest has been successfully held in Singapore from August 3rd to 4th 2013. This Competition year, 12 national teams from 11 countries including China Mainland, Hong Kong China, Taiwan China, Singapore, The Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Korea, Thailand, India and Iran. The number of contestants has reached to 1179. Team organized by National Mathematics Research & the Olympics of Iran and IMC Taiwan Team joined in the competition for the first time.
The contestants of 9 grades—Grade 3 to 6 of primary school, Grade 1-3 of Middle school and Grade 1-2 of High school participated in the competition this year. 111 gold medals, 234 silver medals and 426 bronze medals have been chosen. In addition, the Grand Champion Award is set up in Grade 3-6 of primary school and Grade 1-2 of Middle school contestants. Among which, Contestant Kitty of Primary School Grade 3 from national team of Thailand, Yip Chun Hei of Primary School Grade 4 from Hong Kong team, Shi Jihan of Primary School Grade 5from China Mainland and Alfian Edgar Tjandra of Primary School Grade 6 from team of Indonesia won the Grand Champion Awards of their grades. Meanwhile, Contestant Wichaphon of Middle School Grade 1 from team of Thailand and Ong Jan Kendrick of Middle School Grade 2 from team of The Philippines is awarded as the Grand Champion of their grades.

The 8th session of International Mathematic Contest (IMC) has successfully completed[]
The eighth International Mathematics Contest (IMC) was successfully held in Singapore from August 4th-5th, 2012. Students from ten countries, including the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, Taipei (China), Singapore, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, South Korea, Thailand and India have participated in this year’s contest, numbering a total of 1105.
This contest is divided into 9 grades, with grade three to six from primary school, grade one to three from the junior high school and with grade one and two from the senior high school. There have been 109 gold medals, 229 silver medals and 329 bronze medals awarded over the course of the contest. In addition, grade champion was set in the primary section and junior high grade one and two. Bu Deyue from Taipei (China) was the champion in grade three, Tan Li Xuan from Malaysia was the champion in grade four, YOLRADA YONGPISANPOB from Thailand was the champion in grade five and Peng Diyu from Chinese mainland was the champion in the grade 6. While in Junior high school, SUPPAPHAT MUANGSUWAN from Thailand was the Champion in grade one, and KIM HOJAE from South Korea was the Champion in grade two.

2012 IMC Council Conference was held successfully in Chengdu, China[]
The second IMC Council Conference was held successfully from April 24th –28th.2012 in Chengdu, China. All the representatives from member countries and regions, including Chinese mainland, Hongkong, Taiwan, Singapore, Philippine, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, have attended this conference. At this conference, the composition of the IMC Council Secretariat was renewed and provisions for the implementation of IMC Union regulations was passed by voting, also the 2010-2011financial report for the IMC Union was published. All the attendees exchanged their views on the organization and development of IMC in each places, the mathematics education system and academic study in Elementary and Secondary School, and the organization of the final competition which includes the awarding system, its arrangement and events. Through this conference, all the secretariats have enhanced their mutual understanding and shared valuable experiences regarding the organization of IMC, which will have a positive significance for the future development of IMC. After the conference, all the representatives have visited Dujiang Dam, Qingcheng Mountain and other famous places in Chengdu. They also visited the Giant Panda Breeding Base. Some of them traveled all the way to Beichuan and other 5.12 earthquake –stricken areas to visit students there and send gifts to them. []

The 7th session of International Mathematic Contest (IMC) has successfully completed
118 gold medals, 254 silver medals and 478 bronze medals are awarded in 9 grade levels, from primary school 3rd to 6th grade, junior high school 1st to 3rd grade and senior high school 1st and 2nd grade. Grade champion prizes are respectively set for primary school 3rd to 6th grade and junior high school 1st to 3nd grade, in which the grade champion prizes for primary school 3rd and 4th have won by Hong Kong team, primary school 5th grade and junior high school 2nd grade champion prizes have won by Chinese mainland team, primary school 6th grade by Korea, junior high 1st grade by Chinese Taipei, and junior high 3rd grade by Malaysia. In the 7- year course of development for IMC, we have witnessed a fruitful outcome through communication and exchanges in Mathematics filed as the competition steadily moves into larger scale and dimension. Contestants from Philippine, Indonesia, Malaysia and other Asia countries have shown a ceaseless improvement and competence in their grades, which shows a rapid closing gap with Mainland China, Hong Kong, Korea and other countries and regions with higher levels of mathematics education. It is deeply convinced that IMC will greatly enhance the communication on math education among Asian countries and regions to improve the regional math education into a higher level! []

In 2010,Teams from ten countries and regions, namely, Chinese mainland, Hongkong, Taipei, Singapore, Philippine, Malaysia, Korea, Thailand and India have participated in this year’s contest, with a total of 1300 people , including 999 students. 89 gold medals, 181 silver medals and 354 bronze medals are awarded in 9 grade levels, from primary school 3rd to 6th grade, junior and senior high school 1st to 5th. Grade champion prizes are respectively set for primary school 3rd to 6th grade and junior high school 1st to 2nd grade, in which the grade champion prizes for primary school 3rd and 5th grade have won by Hongkong team, primary school 4th, 6th grade and the 2nd grade of junior high school by Chinese mainland team, and the 1st grade of junior high school by Chinese Taipei team. In the first formal IMCU Council Conference on April12-16, 2010, the decision of setting up the South Korea Secretariat has been unanimous consented by all the IMCU Secretariats .During the 6th IMC Contest on Aug 6-11, 2010 in Singapore; Thailand Secretariat also has been set up. So far, there are 10 member countries and regions in IMCU.[]

The first Formal IMC Union Council Conference has been held in Beijing, China on April12-16, 2010. IMC Union Secretariats from every member country and region have participated in this conference. Also some Mathematics Training Institutions from Australia and United States are invited. The conference includes two parts: one is to authorize the President, seven Vice-Presidents, and several trustees by election and recommendation; the other part is to discuss the IMC Rules, the IMC three-year Plans and the IMC Contest Proposition Outline. All the representatives have reached the consensus on the discussed issues above.[]
